Hill Associates, a leading IT Consultant, is searching for a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to support a major Federal Government Agency's High Value Asset (HVA) Program Management Office (PMO), which is responsible for all activities related to HVAs across the Agency's enterprise. You'll assist the HVA PMO in better understanding the security needs of the Agency's most critical IT assets while gaining new insights into how those assets fit into the larger Federal enterprise. You'll play a key role in helping the Agency to effectively and continuously review all critical assets, systems, information, and data, thereby achieving a better understanding of the threats and risks facing the Agency's network.

 

The primary location of this metro-accessible position is at the Government Agency's offices located on Pennsylvania Avenue NW, DC, two blocks from the Farragut West Metro Station.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Work in a fast-paced team environment and interact with vendors, customers, customer liaisons, business operations staff, engineering staff, and leadership.

  • Develop recurring reports, and provide quality assurance review of all contributed content.

  • Coordinate, attend, and participate in various senior level meetings.

  • Develop, track, communicate, manage, and analyze goals, performance metrics, policies, strategies, plans, and procedures as required.

  • Conduct system analysis and recommend security controls for Agency HVAs.

  • Develop procedures for the HVA Security Assessment and Authorization process to ensure compliance with federal guidelines and policies.

  • Provide support for identifying, categorizing, and prioritizing HVAs. Typical activities includes data collection, data analysis, and preparation of documentation, coordination and collaboration across Treasury agencies.

  • Support development and maintenance of HVA identification, categorization, and prioritization.

  • Review and revise processes and policies for continuous improvement of the HVA program.

  • Develop, submit, and maintain Plan of Actions & Milestones and Remediation Plans.

  • Identify gaps in HVA related policies and procedures, and develop remediation solutions.

  • Remain up to date on HVA-related Federal policies, regulations, FISMA compliance and standards.

  • Create and present HVA program training materials.

  • Limited travel outside the DC area.

 

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance level.

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, IT Security, Cyber Security or related IT fields.

  • Minimum eight years experience in IT security or cyber security.

  • Prefer professional certification in one of the following: CAP, CISA, CISSP, CISM.

  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, 800-30, 800-3.

  • Knowledge of OMB Memorandums & DHS Directives in cyber security.

  • Knowledge of Federal Government security evaluation criteria.

  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and security requirements.

  • Experience in analyzing system security requirements, security policies, architecture and operational procedures.

  • Experience in security assessments of networks and IT systems.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, and deal with diverse issues and people.

  • Ability to manage and deliver on more than one project at a time.

  • Experience working with senior level management.

  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
